Ljudmilla Kolmakova (85) and Galina Silgitskaja. First-time visitors from Kohtla-Järve:
A Heartfelt Experience Story from Värska
Recently, a mother and daughter – Ljudmilla and Galina – visited Värska, choosing it as the destination for their shared holiday. They had never been to Värska before, but after hearing repeated praise from friends, they decided to experience it for themselves.
Already on the first day, Ljudmilla proved that age is just a number – she bravely took part in a 5 km walk, and the evening lantern hike along the forest trail left a truly lasting impression on her. Another memorable experience was a visit to the Obinitsa Museum, where they learned more about the culture and traditions of Setomaa. One of the most delightful moments was when Ljudmilla was dressed in authentic Seto traditional clothing – it brought great joy and excitement and will surely be remembered for a long time.
The holiday turned out to be highly memorable for both of them, and they were very satisfied with their visit. Galina was so impressed that she even recommended Värska to her sister living in Finland. The treatments received particularly high praise:
mud and pearl baths, spinal traction bed therapy, and hand massage. According to Galina, her mother is usually quite demanding when it comes to massages, but this time she was very satisfied – which speaks for itself.
They also highlighted the very friendly staff, the rich variety of food, and the pleasant water centre where they could truly relax.
As areas for improvement, they mentioned that the bar could stay open longer in the evenings, and the outdoor area could benefit from more exercise equipment and benches.
However, the days passed in what felt like no time at all, and as they left, one thought was certain – they would definitely like to return.
