How a pearl bath with natural mineral water works

The healing properties of mineral water have been known to mankind since ancient times. In ancient times, temples were built near mineral water springs, where the sick were treated in the same way as today – with diet, exercise, baths and drinking water. Natural mineral water heals the body both inside and out.

There are three types of mineral water in the Värska sanatorium: two drinking waters and bath water.

Värska mineral water has been known as table water for decades and is still very famous. Drinking mineral water Värska Kange (Värska-4; 6.5 g/l) has a unique composition and a high bromine and magnesium content. It is ideal for treating biliary tract, upper respiratory tract and peptic ulcer disease. Table water Värska Mahe (Värska-5; 2.1 g/l) with a low salt content is effective in cases of gastric hyperacidity and is an excellent thirst quencher. The highly saline mineral water Värska-6 (21.6g/l) is mainly used in bath procedures, for example, to treat sleep disorders, skin diseases, chronic inflammations and neurosis, but also as drinking water for some diseases (for example, intestinal diseases). In terms of salinity, it is equal to the water of the Black Sea or the ocean.

How does a pearl bath work?

By the time you sit in the bath, the water temperature is set to a pleasantly silky – 37-39 degrees. You are completely covered with natural mineral water Värska-6, which is similar in salinity to ocean water and is ten times stronger than Värska table water. The water flows into the bath directly from the earth’s crust from more than half a kilometer deep, between rocks that are 600 million years old. This is a real power of nature, with scientifically proven healing effects. And then there are the “pearls!” – a micromassage of fine air bubbles that tones, improves blood circulation, and has a beneficial effect on the nervous system.

What makes it special?

The natural mineral water Värska-6 surrounding you contains several trace elements: copper, zinc, strontium, manganese, bromine, lithium and anti-cancer selenium. Take a deep breath. When you entered the room, you felt a special smell, which has a light aroma mixed with hydrogen sulfide and salt vapors. It has a very good effect on the respiratory tract. While you are in the bath, the bromine inhaled with the water vapor also has a calming effect. Asthma symptoms, back pain, psoriasis, muscle tension and a whole range of stress-causing ailments are relieved. You would probably wish it lasted even longer, but there are several procedures ahead that have the same feel-good effect.
