Reeda came on holiday with a friend. The idea to visit Värska came to her at a Seniors’ Day event held at the Estonian National Museum (ERM), where she purchased the package. She had never stayed at the health resort before, so she did not quite know what to expect.

“I was pleasantly surprised to see that there is so much to do here besides the treatments. If you want to, you can make your holiday really full of activities,” says Reeda.

For her, an important part of a good holiday is having things to do and places to go. There were plenty of opportunities for that here – excursions, boat trips, cycling and hiking trails, walks, an accordion evening with singing, disc golf and much more.

“I’m not the kind of person who sits in a room watching soap operas. I take part in everything that is offered,” she says with a laugh.

The shared activities and time spent together were what Reeda particularly enjoyed about her holiday. According to her, moments like these create good feelings – people come together, do something together, and are left with a warm and pleasant feeling afterwards.

Of course, the treatments also played an important role in her holiday. The work Reeda has done for decades has been physically demanding, and the body needs time to recover from time to time.

“The spinal traction treatment was much-needed for me, as were the pearl bath and heat therapy. When you have spent your whole life on your feet and working with your hands, you need a holiday like this,” she says.

Reeda also has plenty of praise for the food. She particularly enjoyed the homely and delicious selection of dishes.

“There were desserts there that you don’t come across very often anymore. They immediately brought back a wonderful sense of familiarity.”

According to Reeda, good people are also an important part of a good holiday. She has only good things to say about the staff – everyone was friendly, supportive and helpful.

When asked whether she would come back, Reeda does not have to think twice.

“Absolutely. You have to take time to enjoy yourself.”

She sees several reasons to return – the nature, activities, treatments, food and, above all, the good feeling that comes from simply being able to relax, stay active and enjoy doing something together with other people.

“I would definitely recommend it to others too. If you come here for a holiday, you might as well take part in everything that is offered.”
