“The first time I came to Värska was thanks to my former teacher, who had spent a holiday here with her daughter. She recommended that I should come too. I thought I’d give it a try – and that’s how it all began,” Rita recalls.

Since then, visiting Värska has become an annual tradition.

“Every year we put money aside to save for our treatment package. It’s our investment in ourselves and in our health.”

What Rita and Virve value most is the peaceful atmosphere, the friendly staff and the high-quality treatment procedures. Everything else is simply an added bonus.

“The pearl bath is one of our favourite treatments. We’ve tried the mud treatments too, but they’re not really for us. The massages are simply wonderful. Every visit gives us renewed strength and improves our well-being. Thanks to Värska, I feel able to keep working until I reach retirement.”

In addition to the treatments, they also appreciate the welcoming atmosphere throughout the resort.

“We’re always greeted by friendly staff. We love the treatments, the beautiful natural surroundings and the interesting excursions. The evening entertainment is also fantastic, especially the performances by the accordion players. Everyone dances together, and the atmosphere is warm and welcoming.

It’s also very convenient to have beauty treatments available in one place, and the prices are much more affordable than in Tallinn. The food is homemade and absolutely delicious.”

The only improvement they would like to see is having small refrigerators in the rooms.

“In summer, we’d love to buy local berries and mushrooms to take home, but without a fridge it’s difficult to keep them fresh.”

Both women agree that Värska Health Resort Center has become much more than just a holiday destination.

“It’s a place you can easily become attached to. We recommend Värska to anyone looking to relax, recover and take care of their health. We’ll definitely keep coming back.”
