How did she end up here?
Anne recalls that she initially spent her weekends relaxing in Toila, but a friend once suggested she should visit Värska instead. “It was love at first sight,” Anne says sincerely. The quietness of Värska, the scent of pine trees and the gentle calm of the surroundings won her over – and she has returned again and again.

Nature that heals as well as the treatments
Anne says she especially appreciates that even during a short 15-minute break she can step out to the health trail behind the sanatorium, walk by the lake or simply breathe in the wonderful freshness of the pine forest. Compared with Toila, she values the intimacy, silence and peaceful atmosphere of the trails here the most.

Favourites: mineral baths, professional staff and warm service
Of all the services offered, Anne’s favourite is the mineral bath, which she says works best for her.
She also praises the masseurs: “You can instantly feel that they work with heart and real skill.” Even more important, however, is the human touch: “It’s lovely to arrive and see familiar faces. It warms your heart when someone calls you by name and remembers you.” She appreciates the staff’s flexibility and helpfulness – if a treatment needs to be changed, a solution is always found.

Seto flavours
Anne also enjoys that the menu includes local dishes – Seto thick porridge, suuliim and others make each dinner a bit more special.

Memories from the old days
Anne smiles as she recalls how there used to be no televisions in the rooms. In the evenings the downstairs bar was open and served as a meeting place where people spent time together. In the past, dinner wasn’t included on the arrival day, so the bar was the place to get a proper meal. Now the rooms have TVs, almost everyone has a mobile phone, and all modern conveniences are available. Much has changed over time.
