What does vibroacoustic therapy help with?
Vibro-acoustic therapy is a treatment method that uses low-frequency sounds (30-120 Hz) in a private bed combined with soothing and relaxing music.
For children, vibroacoustic therapy has been helpful in the treatment of
– tension headaches,
– cognitive disturbances,
– tics,
– enuresis, encopresis,
– psychological disorders (e.g. depression, anxiety disorders, insomnia, self-injurious behaviour, autism).
Vibroacoustic therapy has been found to help adults:
– reducing pain (including fibromyalgia);
– reducing muscle tension and spasms (including Parkinson’s disease);
– reducing breathing difficulties;
– reducing high blood pressure;
– menopause-related conditions;
– Alzheimer’s disease;
– reducing general fatigue;
– alleviating psychosomatic complaints;
– various headaches, dizziness;
– tinnitus;
– treatment of psychological disorders (e.g. depression, anxiety disorders, insomnia, self-injurious behaviour, autism).
EXAMPLES:
chronic rhinitis, bronchitis, asthma. Frequent viral infections, allergies, sleep disturbances, neurosis. The procedure is perfect for those who want to quit smoking.
CONTRAINDICATIONS:
acute inflammation, bleeding, risk of thrombosis and embolism, hypotension, psychoses, wandering kidney, prostheses or foreign bodies in the body and subjective aversion (fear) to the therapeutic method.
Caution should be exercised in cases of pregnancy, cancer, excessive sensitivity to vibration, epilepsy and brain injury.
